My First Virtual Girl Guide Camp Experience

 Today is the end of the virtual camp for my Lones Girl Guide Troop. I friended a lot of my co-members on Roblox and that makes me very happy. 

I was disappointed that I couldn't camp out on Saturday night but because I'm switching from virtual learning to in person come Monday, my mom wanted me to have a good night's sleep. I did. I slept from 9:30pm until 8am!

I really enjoyed doing the activities, checking in on Zoom, and spending time with my family. My mom is hoping that since I was unable to make cookies with everyone that I will be able to make muffins later today while the Super Bowl is on. My mom gets nervous when it's the big game because she really wants Patrick to win. 

I hope at some point we will be able to do another Virtual Camp again!

Virtual Girl Guide Camp - Feb 6th Day 2 - Winter Hike

 After my lunch and potato chip adventure, my family and I went on a hike to a nearby forest. It was pretty windy and cold! The creek still had some spots that were not ice so we didn't venture too far away from the shore. My dad said he fell in as a kid once, but my mom never has. I was too scared to go too far. 

Virtual Girl Guide Camp - Feb 6th Day 2 - Potato Chip Flavours and Lunch!

 At lunchtime my mom and I made spider hot dogs. Because we couldn't have a campfire she had to help me cut the hot dogs and boil them. The best part was afterwards because I got to create my own potato chips!

Some examples that I tried include: Mayo, BBQ sauce, Ketchup, Ranch, and Pesto. I mixed them with spices like paprika, garlic powder, basil, dill weed, oregano, etc. The rule was - I had to try them all!

Virtual Girl Guide Camp - Feb 6th. Snow Volcano and Breakfast!

 Saturday morning started off great! It was my Mom's birthday so I gave her my cards and presents. We made pancakes together! After my morning call with my Troop we set outside and put on a show! My mom and dad showed me how to mix vinegar and baking soda to cause a reaction. With some food colouring it was a pretty cool looking explosion!

Virtual Girl Guide Camp - Friday Feb. 5th

 Februrary 5th to the 7th was the Virtual Camp. I slept with my mom on the couch in the living room.  I made coloured rice and we had smores for snack. I also found things to make my name. I'm looking forward to the things I will do tomorrow!
